Cliffhanger grrrrrrrrrrrrrr I hate cliffhangers and usually I would give nothing higher then a 4 due to that but dangin it this book was good.

It was way to short but I LOVED IT. I can't wait to find out how Carlene truly lost her exboyfriend. Now I have to wait a month to find out if Nick and her break up or get together, if they can work through all the issues. Is this quits or will they find their way back. I just know in book two Carlene will break our heart with her story and can Nick really find out what happen and get over his issues.

Going through life is never easy, when one looses it all and hits rock bottom there is only one way to go up but how many times must you hit and rehit those rocks before you can finally come out ahead not only in life but love. Carlene just came out of rock bottom to go right back down. She went from having a life to loosing it all and then to having a life. Will she loose it all again? She will have a choice to move on or stay with those rocks. This books said so much but leaves so much out there is so many ways this next book can go which leaves your mind spinning and you just have to know.

Right now Ms. Lavelle I am not liking you to much but at the same time I adore you style in writing. I am almost postive that I would enjoy reading any book you write.

Ok, I REALLY liked this little short story! I was kind of nervous about it. Never heard of the author or the book, but it was recommend to try and I am SO glad that I did.

So we meet Carlene, who at this time is living in a shelter that she also volunteers at. She had decided after her fiance died that she didn't deserve happiness as it was "her fault" that he passed. She meets a man in the church that she goes to every year on the anniversary of his death and meets a beautiful stranger. Sharing in one intimate moment without even knowing his name.

Nick was at the church, lighting a candle for his deceased brother. And instantly longs for this stranger he meets, but alas, they part ways.

This intimate moment gave Carlene knew hope and was determined to better her life. Things started going her way, with a new job, new apartment, things were starting to look up..for a little while...

This little story was quite the rags to "riches" story. I put riches in "" marks because Carlene's not rich per se, but she has bettered herself and tried to move on from the past. She's finally got her own apartment, a higher paying job and life is starting to get on track. I love these kinds of stories. Of course, life always throws you curves and it's how you react to those curves that shows your true nature.

Carlene is not a bad person, and though you never get the FULL story on what happened between her and her dead fiance, you only know that she's going to tell his brother everything, only he finds out before she has a chance to tell him and things blow up! I'll be interested to see how this story evolves!

I rated it 4 stars, mainly because I didn't think it was long enough! Isn't that awful! I loved her writing, I loved the story and I just wanted it to keep going! I will definitely be picking up book two at some point!
The “Moments in Time” Series by Dori Lavelle caught my eye on Facebook because all the covers are just so beautiful and the titles appealed to me. I downloaded “Entangled Moments”, the first in the series, and devoured it in one day.
The novella has a lot of the things I look for in romance a heroine that is strong and vulnerable at the same time; a hunky and troubled hero; secrets and tragedy; change; sweet and steamy moments. Carlene has a dark secret to hide that almost broke her and makes a happy future seem impossible. She does deserve happiness, though, and her way toward it is fun to read. I like the way she rises from rags to riches and comes closer to her dreams. It is almost too good to be true, but believable. I didn’t see the twist in the plot coming, and the end is a huge cliffhanger. Looks like I’ll have to get the other books in the series, Rekindled Moments and Bittersweet Moments.
This is a short read, but you won’t forget it easily. There’s enough potential in “Entangled Moments” that it could have been a full novel. If you like second chance stories, you’ll enjoy this eBook.
Oftentimes a free book that heralds the beginning of a continual story is just a shameless hook to ensnare customers and I don’t bother with the next book, because it usually leads to a pricy series of books that one has to buy if they wish to know what happens. That said, this was one story I simply had to hear more about and so I did buy the next book. I’m so glad I did, as the second book holds the conclusion and it’s a great one. No expensive serialisation here folks. In fact it was a bargain.

But back to Entangled Moments. Without giving anything away I’m going to tell you why I loved this book

1) It was very well written and the author took the time to polish it before publishing. The writing was eloquent, the story never lagged.
2) The characters were well developed but still held some mystery.
3) Both Carlene and Nick were very likeable and I was immediately drawn to them.
4) This story was original and a very distinctive romance in a genera that is often all too formulaic. Seriously, WOW, I loved the freshness.
5) The protagonist did not need the hero to save her, she was doing that for herself.

All in all I would gladly recommend this story to anyone who loves a good romance with strong narrative and beautiful heart.
